HR AFM Direct Drive Option
The HR AFM direct drive option utilizes four independent stepper motors for two functions.
Direct Drive
With the direct drive function, the AFM light lever is moved in a perpendicular motion to the sample. This facilitates landing the probe on a specific area of interest. Additionally, the probe sample angle can be varied by activating each of the motors independently.
Focus Assist
A motor is utilized to control the focus of the top view video microscope in the HR AFM. With the focus assist software module, the video microscope can be focused on the probe during probe approach. A rapid control feature enables the video microscope focus to move swiftly from the sample to the probe.
