The video microscope includes the following items:

• 3MP CCD camera with USB interface • Zoom tube with zoom ration of 0.7 to 4.5 X • LCD illumination source with adjustable voltage power supply • Image view and capture software • Microscope stand with height adjustment mechanism

The video microscope is optimized for use with the TT-AFM. The working distance permits movement of the LL-AFM over its complete range without having to adjust the video microscope's height. The illumination source provides an even illumination of a samples surface, giving very clear images of the AFM probe and a sample's surface.

The video microscope software is MS Windows-based and includes several important functions, including image monitor, movie capture and image capture. The software is run concurrently with the LabView software used to control the TT-AFM. Images captured by the video software are stored in a .jpg format.
