Description

High resolution imaging with the TT-AFM requires setting up the instrument in a location with minimal structural and acoustic vibration sources. The TT-AFM Vibration enclosure can help filter out any remaining unwanted acoustic and structural vibrations. The enclosure is 18 X 18 x 36 inches and weighs 75 pounds. Inside the box, the walls are covered with acoustic foam and the instrument is suspended by four bungee cords. The stage platform has a space to hold up to five 12” X 12” tiles*. At the rear of the enclosure is a clamping pass through for the AFM stages electrical cables.

The acoustic enclosure must rest on a strong structure such as a cement floor or a structure made from cement blocks.
